Hidden U-Channel Steel Posts — Not Exposed Pipe

Plenty of crews will sell you “steel posts,” but they usually mean round galvanized pipe — the same post that holds up a chain-link fence. The rails have to be bracketed onto the outside, and the bare metal post stays visible all the way down the fence line.

Our U-channel posts are built for wood fencing. The rails slide straight into the channel and fasten there — a clean, rigid connection with no exposed hardware — and the pickets mount to the rails exactly like they would on any cedar fence. We finish each post with a cover picket, so the steel disappears into the fence line. You get the strength of steel set in concrete with the look of a true all-wood fence — one that won’t rot, set more than two feet deep in concrete to resist the heaving that leans North Texas fences.
