Plenty of crews will sell you "steel posts," but they usually mean round galvanized pipe, the same post that holds up a chain-link fence. The rails get bracketed onto the outside, and the bare metal stays visible all the way down the fence line.
Our U-channel posts are built for wood fencing. The rails slide straight into the channel and fasten there, the pickets mount like any cedar fence, and a cover picket finishes each post so the steel disappears.
